• Recreation and exercise programs: Variety of programs at all three senior centers, including bingo, ceramics classes, crocheting, knitting, line dancing, needlecrafts, Red Hats Society club, swimming, water aerobics, yoga.
• Volunteer programs: Seniors 55 and older can volunteer their time and talents at various nonprofit agencies through R.S.V.P. (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program).
• Senior Transportion Program: Free transportation for members only to senior centers and organized shopping and field trips to places of interest. Convenient pickup points throughout the city. For membership, call 576-7993.
• Seniors Only Social Services Coordinator: Provides information, assistance and counseling to Bridgeport residents 60 and over, their families and caregivers regarding: Medicare, Medicaid, Part D prescription plans, MSP programs, CONNPace prescription plan, healthcare insurance choices, adult daycare referrals, Renter’s Rebate Program, Connecticut Energy/Housing Assistance Programs applications, more.
